Lancer Tennis Core Values
The Shawnee Mission East High School tennis program believes in competing at the highest levels of high school tennis and giving players of all ability levels an opportunity to be part of our program. Our program is built on the foundation laid by the generations of players and coaches who came before us. We have a responsibility to continue to add to that legacy. When we look back at the players and coaches in our program's history, we recognize a set of core values that allowed them to succeed both on and off the court.

In our program, we wear a Lancer head logo with stars designating the number of team state championships we have won. Our goal each season is to add a star. Adding a star is the work of more than one tournament and the work of more than the players who earn the opportunity to represent us on-court at the state tournament. Adding a star also has a broader application than just winning a tournament. We expect each member of our program to work to develop the values that position us to be successful.

Our program is organized around four core values. We expect our student-athletes to develop sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability, and resilience.

SPORTSMANSHIP

ACCOUNTABILITY

RESILIENCE
