The Lunch Bucket Award is given annually to the player or players who best exemplify the characteristics of our program. These players live out what it means to ADD a STAR through the way they have helped us all to see more clearly what it means to demonstrate Sportsmanship, Teamwork, Accountability, and Resilience.

Dynamic Duo - Combination of the Year

High school tennis requires not only solid individual players but also players who are willing to work together to form doubles teams. Through the years, Shawnee Mission East has excelled at doubles play. We have had 40 doubles teams win state championships. While not all winners of the Dynamic Duo win individual state championships (or always have to play doubles), each of these combinations has been integral to our team's success.
